Tetsekela Anyiam-Osigwe is a PhD candidate in the Department of Politics at Princeton University, specialising in international relations with a regional focus on Africa. She is a fellow of the Princeton Sovereign Finance Lab and the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination's Africa Program. She is also a resident student affiliate of the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance.
Broadly, her research examines the political economy of international cooperation in Africa. In this area, she studies international organisations and development finance. Other strands of her research investigate foreign aid preferences in recipient countries, the role of the private sector in international development, and Asia-Africa relations (China and Japan). She has conducted field research in Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, and Kenya.
Prior to Princeton, Tetsekela received a BSc in Politics and International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE) and an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford.
